Attorney Mathew A. Work was born in Henderson, NV where he was raised by his single mother and grandparents. From an early age, Mathew understood the value of education and hard work.
Mathew attended the University of Nevada, Reno where he earned a degree in economics, graduating summa cum laude. While in college Mathew was a collegiate athlete playing both lacrosse and football.
After college, Mathew moved to Washington D.C. where he continued his education as a graduate student and Capitol Hill Fellow at American University. Mathew worked on Capitol Hill as a Congressional Staffer. Mathew was able to work side by side with members of Congress.
Upon leaving Washington D.C., Mathew attended Thomas Jefferson School of Law on a full academic scholarship. Mathew graduated magna cum laude. While at Thomas Jefferson he earned the Jefferson Award, Wilkins Award, Cali Award, Deans List and was selected as a teaching assistant as a result of his academic success.
Mathew passed the Nevada bar on his first attempt and accepted a position as an associate attorney where he successfully defended criminal cases at jury trial.
As a result of his work efforts, Mathew was then offered a job as a criminal prosecutor. This experience was invaluable. Mathew spent years actively litigating criminal cases at trial. His ability as a trial attorney consistently earned praise from the Northern Nevada legal community.
After trying hundreds of cases at trial, Mathew understood he was prepared to open his own law firm. Attorney Mathew Work now focuses in the fields of Family Law and Criminal Defense.
He uses his unrivaled trial experience to the benefit of all of his Family, Divorce, Custody, and Criminal Defense clients.

Attorney Rebecca Carlson is a Nevada native born in Las Vegas. She attended the University of Nevada, Reno and graduated cum laude with a dual degree in Communications and Political Science.
After college, Ms. Carlson continued her education and attended Chapman University, Dale E.Fowler School of Law on an academic scholarship. Throughout law school, Ms. Carlson focused her education on alternative dispute resolution and received a certificate of mediation.
Ms. Carlson took and passed the bar in both California and Nevada on her first attempt. She previously worked as an associate attorney for a multi-state law firm and has experience litigating at both the state and federal level.
Ms. Carlson has quickly earned a reputation throughout the legal community as a dedicated, aggressive and sophisticated litigator.

Lauren was born and raised in Northern California and moved to Reno in 2017 upon receiving her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Nevada. Lauren accepted a position at Work Law in the Fall of 2017 as an unpaid intern.
Within a month, Lauren was promoted to Legal Assistant and within six months, she was the General Manager of the firm. Lauren has been vital to the growth of Work Law. In her spare time she enjoys painting and mountain biking.
Lauren will begin Law School in the fall of 2019.
Tanya Kazantseva was born in Russia, and raised in California’s Bay Area. Tanya attended college at University of California, Davis, earning Bachelor’s Degrees in Russian Studies and Sociology, Law & Society.
Following her undergraduate education, Tanya began her career as a paralegal for a bay area law firm, specializing in criminal defense and personal injury.
In 2017, Tanya continued her paralegal education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where she graduated with top scores in Nevada Practice and Procedure and Tort Law.
After successfully completing her Paralegal Certificate, Tanya relocated to Reno and immediately accepted the position as Paralegal for Work Law. While working at our law firm, Tanya has specialized in defense and family law.
Outside of work, Tanya enjoys attending concerts, traveling to Tahoe and spending time with her fiancé and family.
Lorin grew up in Washoe Valley, NV. She graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music with an emphasis in Vocal Performance and a minor in Criminal Justice. Before applying to law school, Lorin was a paralegal for the Nevada Attorney General’s Office for six years in the Civil Rights Litigation Division.
Lorin attended the William S. Boyd School of Law in Las Vegas where she focused on legal writing and litigation. Lorin passed the Nevada Bar on her first attempt and went on to accept a position as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Judge James E. Wilson in the First Judicial District Court in Carson City, Nevada.
Lorin is now an Associate Attorney at Work Law, where she practices family law.
Lorin is still active in the Reno musical community, she is a member of the women’s choir Bella Voce.
